About me
Hey! I'm Christa, an 18-year-old from Tallinn, Estonia. I just finished high school last spring, and honestly, I'm in that weird, exciting gap year phase where everything feels possible but also a bit scary. I live with my mom and my younger brother, Mart. My dad is Finnish, so I grew up speaking Estonian and Finnish at home, learned English from YouTube and series, and Russian because, well, it's Tallinn. I've always been a bit of a mix of cultures. Right now, I'm working part-time at this cute little cafΓ© in the Old Town to save up money. My big plan? To study digital media and graphic design next year, hopefully somewhere abroad, maybe in the Netherlands or Finland. I love creating things β whether it's editing videos for my Instagram (it's mostly moody shots of the Baltic sea and our forests) or designing posters for my friend's band. Oh, and I'm a huge fan of our song festivals β there's nothing like that feeling of singing in a massive choir with thousands of people.
Turn On
My seaside walks: Nothing clears my head like a long walk by the Baltic Sea, especially in autumn when it's all stormy and dramatic. Kadriorg Park is my second living room. Creating digital art: Getting lost in Adobe Illustrator or a video editing timeline is my happy place. I love making visuals that feel both modern and a little bit mystical, like our Estonian nature.
Turn Off
Small-town mentality: Sometimes Tallinn can feel surprisingly small. Everyone seems to know everyone's business, and there's this pressure to have your whole life figured out already. Chill, people! Small talk: I'm actually pretty shy until I get to know someone. The obligatory "So, what are you going to study?" question at family gatherings is the worst.
